COVID-19 Practice Updates
COVID-19 Update
Amidst the recent lifting of restrictions in most settings within the province of Alberta, we continue to strive to ensure the safety and well-being of our clients and psychologists at YEG Psychology. As such, we have adjusted our office procedures to align with recent changes while simultaneously acknowledging the varying comfort levels of our clients and psychologists.
We understand that everyone entered the pandemic at different places and are approaching re-entry at different paces, and so, it is important to us that we respect individual choices when it comes to masking, for clients and therapists alike. Effective March 9, 2022, masks are no longer required for psychologists and clients. As your comfort is our priority, if at any point you wish for your psychologist to be masked, please do not hesitate to let her know as she will gladly do so.
We continue to ask that you request your session via online or telephone counselling if you have symptoms such as:
- Cough
- Fever
- Any signs of a cold or flu
Should you feel too ill to participate in your scheduled session, we can cancel and reschedule for a time in the near future. Our psychologists give their assurance that if they too feel cold or flu symptoms that they will either offer secure video conferencing, phone sessions, or the opportunity to reschedule.
Please contact your psychologist directly for their specific availability for in-person, online, or telephone counselling. Providing continuity of care for our clients during this time is of the utmost importance to our psychologists at YEG Psychology and we are happy to work with you to navigate through any barriers to participating in sessions.
