Ms. Pascal Wallace
Ms. Pascal Wallace, Provisional Psychologist
Throughout my life I have grown to enjoy and appreciate the simple privilege of talking to people and hearing their stories. Whatever your reason for accessing support, you have likely thought it through thoroughly before reaching out. I recognize this takes enormous strength and courage. I want to learn about you and what brought you to seek help. I want you to feel heard.
Within a warm, non-judgemental environment, I will first strive to develop a strong therapeutic relationship. From this foundation, we will work collaboratively to explore your challenges and find a way through them. We will work from a theoretical viewpoint that makes sense for you, your situation, and your preferences. Some of the models of therapy I draw from include person-centred, cognitive-behavioural, acceptance and commitment, and mindfulness-based approaches. Loss, health changes, and life transitions often lead to questions surrounding meaning and purpose. I will encourage exploration of such existential themes, should they emerge.
My training lends itself to working with adult individuals and couples, with a special interest in anxiety, depression, grief, loss, and health changes. I am passionate about working with those experiencing life transitions, whether within oneself or with another. Becoming a parent, for example, is a time of change in life that brings a unique set of challenges and upheaval that is seemingly endless. For couples, I strive to support those seeking to improve communication with their partners and feel more connected within their relationship.
The therapeutic process reminds us we are human and that it is normal to experience a variety of emotions in response to our experiences and life’s challenges. As we embark on a therapeutic journey together, I will aspire to provide the support and assistance you need to make the positive change you are seeking, helping you live a connected, meaningful life with the people and interests that matter most to you.
I look forward to meeting you.
“We only need to be one person.
We only need to feel one existence.
We don’t have to do everything in order to be everything, because we are already infinite. While we are alive we always contain a future of multifarious possibility.”
